Student Organizations

The University boasts over 100 student organizations, honor societies, culturally-based groups and other extracurricular opportunities.

Whether you’re interested in watching French films with Francofous, learning more about traditional Chinese New Year celebrations at the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) annual gala, or attending one of the numerous educational forums on global issues, there’s something for you at UL Lafayette.

Cultural Events in Lafayette

The greater Lafayette area is rich in cultural heritage and hosts many internationally-focused events throughout the year. 

We love to celebrate the diversity of our city and the many cultural influences it has. Over 300,000 people attend Festival International de Louisiane – the largest free international music festival in the United States – each year.  Other notable events include the Latin Music Festival, Holi Festival, and Festivals Acadiens et Creoles.

Internships & Study Abroad Opportunities

Additionally, UL Lafayette offers a number of internship and student exchange programs that you can take part in. Learn more about internship offerings and exchange opportunities.
